Joshua is thrilled to announce his 2014-2015 season, during which he’ll delve into two of Beaumarchais’ iconic characters and have his highly anticipated debut at the Lyric Opera of Chicago.  Joshua brings his renowned portrayal of Count Almaviva in a return to the Dallas Opera and to the Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon for performances under the baton of Paul McCreesh.  In the spring, he will switch gears and play the lovable Figaro in the Canadian Opera Company’s production of Il barbiere di Siviglia.  Stepping out of the 18th century, Joshua makes his Lyric Opera of Chicago debut as Tadeusz in The Passenger conducted by Sir Andrew Davis in the acclaimed production by David Pountney.

Furthering his commitment to concert work, he joins Marin Alsop and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra as Dr. Pangloss in Bernstein’s Candide and makes his debut with the Philadelphia Orchestra singing Messiah.  He can also be heard in Lieder recital programs with the Collaborative Arts Institute of Chicago and under the auspices of the Canadian Opera Company’s Free Concert Series.
