Joshua will debut a new Lieder program alongside a majestic, recently restored 1832 Biber grand piano later this month with pianist Michael Jarvis.  The program, “Restless Love,” delves into German Romanticism, the prolific period of Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann, and Mendelssohn.  The theme of this Liederabend explores a lone man’s joyful triumphs and inconsolable struggles with love.  Audiences will journey back 180 years and experience these remarkable songs with the type of instrument on which they were composed and performed.  This recital, presented by Early Music Vancouver, will have 2 performances: March 22 at Christ Church Cathedral and March 24 in the Studio Theatre at the Kay Meek Centre.
